As promised, I finally completed the lyrical content of my first ever religious-themed song where I just wanted to tell my side of the story after being away from the church for almost 15 years. It took a single moment to start a butterfly effect in my life. I plan to record all of my songs as soon as I’m done with the vocal training, I’m targeting Q3 this year. In the meantime, you’ll just have to make do with the lyrics.

Daniel Franklin – Echoes of Mercy

Hey God I’m just a man, atoning for my sins,
I need your guidance for me to repent,
So I went to a priest to who taught me how to pray,
He taught me how to live my life again,
Every time I get down on my knees,
I hear the angels’ echoes of mercy

So hear my confession I’m calling out your name,
Please resurrect my soul through your flame
From alleluia to glory in the highest,
Through father son and the Holy Spirit
Every time I get down on my knees,
I hear the angels’ echoes of mercy

I’m seeking redemption, in your name I surrender
Sanctify my soul, and strengthen my heart, amen

It took a fellow mortal to bring me back to church,
It’s where I found the peace I’ve been longing for
Been celebrating mass where all the souls converge,
I’m blessed through the holy communion
Every time I get down on my knees, I hear the angels’ echoes of mercy

Echoes of mercy, of mercy
