Lent

How time flies. I first started abstinence during Lent way back in 1997. That was 17 years ago. It doesn’t get easier with time especially the first few days but I’ve passed that period already. I’ve given up meat, alcohol, chocolate and sex. However, I’m not going full vege mode this time around, as my diet includes fish to maintain my fitness levels after signing up for personal training last June. It’s that time of …

A Sabbatical

It was November 2005. That was when I discovered my passion to write. I remember starting off with a sub-page in Friendster as I exploited that platform to propel my palaver to new levels. Fast forward 8 years later, yes, not 1 not 3 not 5 but 8 years later! That was some appetite I had. I wonder how many out there can say that they’ve been blogging for over 8 years. I bet there …

A Hearty Medical Checkup

With an adjustment of diet and lifestyle that includes working out, I took my second ever health screening test after 1.5 years from the first one. This time, the test was more comprehensive that it encompassed prostate and bladder ultrasound, sperm and semen analysis, prostate marker, blood test (41 elements) and urine test (15 elements). I added an ECG and a stroke test, as my dad died from a heart attack at 37 years old …

My Youtube Project, My Legacy

I’ve been investing time these past weeks constructing lyric videos to my song compositions through my YouTube channel, pitch issues and all. I have inexorably summoned the courage to do so after having conserved the songs in my private collection for over a decade, ever since I unearthed this hobby in 1997. I have written and composed over 50 songs to date, lamentably, I lost some song lyrics in the over the years and failed …

Dabbling in Music Mixing as DJ Gallivanter

It’s been a little over a year since my last mix. When I debuted as an amateur DJ in Sabah as DJ Gallivanter back in December 2012, I wasn’t primed with the art of mixing, thus it was a baptism of fire. After getting some pointers from a resident DJ, it took me a year to dust off my mixer, explored 2013′s best songs and finally put those pointers to good use. It’s not to …

Looking Back on 2013 – Switching Gears

2013 commenced with hybridized feelings, jubilant with a decision I made but wistful because it overwhelmed my loved ones especially my mom (so I thought). I’m sure you all know by now that I got a divorce. No, don’t feel sorry, and I’m sure the other party would agree too, that it was the best for the both of us. I reveled in my new career for the first 10 months of the year until …
